Honesty is always the best policy. You always want long term customers, not short term profits. For true antique dealers, there is no such thing as a final sale. How can you represent that Antiques are constantly going up in value, if you are not willing to buy back your own item. This creates a belief among the general public, that antique dealers are no different than used car salesmen. In truth, honest antiques of fine to superior quality, will have modest appreciation every year. This is why they are quality investments, and we should not be afraid to buy back quality and place it in a new home.
